Mulaz

Mulaz is a mountain summit in the Pale di San Martino that rises to 2906 meters, marked by steep rocky terrain and vertical cliff faces. The peak sits between the Boite and Paneveggio valleys and forms a distinctive landmark in this rugged alpine area.

This peak was shaped millions of years ago during the Triassic period through geological processes that created complex limestone formations. The rock walls document the long geological history of this mountain region.

Local mountain guides preserve traditional alpine knowledge by leading expeditions through established routes, sharing techniques passed down through generations of mountaineers.

The ascent requires mountain experience and solid equipment, as the routes are technically demanding with changing conditions. Good footwear and proper preparation are essential for safe progress.

A metal bell stands at this summit, surrounded by a 300-meter vertical rock wall that forms a natural frame. From this vantage point, one can see the Travignolo Glacier and the surrounding limestone peaks.
