Museo d'arte moderna Pagani spreads over 650 artworks across a wooded site of approximately 40,000 square meters, featuring sculptures and mosaics in marble, stone, bronze, iron, steel, wood, and glass. The works are arranged through pathways in hexagonal patterns that give space to the artworks and allow visitors to explore them within nature.

The museum was founded in 1957 and officially opened in 1965, following Enzo Pagani's visit to Torcello island in Venice. That experience inspired him to create a place where modern art could be displayed among nature.

The collection features artists like Jean Arp and Sonia Delaunay representing futurism, dadaism, and surrealism. These art movements shape how visitors experience and understand the works displayed here today.

The site is located at Via Gerenzano 70 in Castellanza and is accessible through paved pathways that wind through the grounds. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes, as exploring the artworks scattered among trees and open spaces takes time and walking.

The grounds feature an outdoor theater with classical architectural elements that hosts cultural performances and film productions. This unusual setting merges art exhibition with performance space in an unexpected way.
