The National Archaeological Museum of Verona occupies a former prison building, the Carcere di San Tommaso, displaying numerous Roman artifacts and ancient collections.
The museum contains archaeological findings from different periods of Verona's past, including stone inscriptions, sculptures, and everyday objects from Roman settlements.
The collections present the development of regional civilization through original artifacts, stone carvings, and decorative elements from ancient Roman architecture.
The museum opens Friday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with entrance tickets available at the reception desk inside the building.
Numerous stone inscriptions within the collection reveal details about daily life, social structures, and administrative systems of ancient Verona.
