The building gained international recognition through its connection to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, becoming a central part of literary tours through Verona.
The interior remains closed to visitors, but the exterior facade and courtyard can be viewed daily, with a restaurant occupying the ground floor.
The building contains elements from different construction periods, including original medieval stonework, Renaissance windows, and later architectural modifications from the 18th century.
