Piazza Regina Margherita

The square features the Neptune Fountain, stretching forty meters wide and eighteen meters high, with a prominent terracotta statue at its center.

Following Italian unification in 1878, the square emerged from the demolition of Saint Francis Church, incorporating stones from the original structure into its design.

The square underwent extensive renovation in 2022, transforming it into a modern gathering space while preserving its nineteenth-century architectural elements.

Located at the intersection of Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Castello, the square provides multiple seating areas throughout its quadrangular layout.

The Neptune statue, painted green to resemble ancient bronze, stands within a large niche constructed using materials from the former Saint Francis Church.
