Inuyama Station, Railway station in Inuyama, Japan
Inuyama Station is a railway station with three elevated island platforms connected by a central building that has exits on both the eastern and western sides. The facility serves multiple rail lines passing through the city.
The station started operations on August 6, 1912, as a connection point on the Meitetsu rail network. This expansion improved transportation throughout the Aichi region.
The station serves as the entry point for people heading to explore the nearby castle, which draws visitors from across the region who walk through these same passages daily.
Visitors can reach the station via direct trains from Meitetsu Nagoya Station that depart roughly every hour. The journey takes around 25 to 30 minutes.
Until 2008, a monorail platform sat above platform 2 and connected passengers directly to the Japan Monkey Park. This overhead link was later removed when the park connection was discontinued.
