Zenpukuji Park

Zenpukuji Park contains two main water bodies, the upper and lower ponds, surrounded by extensive walking paths and green spaces covering multiple hectares.

The water source in the upper pond dates back to the 12th century when Yoritomo Minamoto discovered it during a drought period.

The park features a dedicated Benzaiten shrine on a small island, representing the connection between water elements and Japanese religious traditions.

Visitors can rent rowboats at the upper pond from March to November, with operation hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on weekends and holidays.

The November art exhibition 'Trolls in the Park' transforms the natural setting with contemporary installations among the trees and water features.
