Sapporo Teine

Sapporo Teine is a ski resort and golf course with two main zones suited to different skill levels in the mountains of Teine-ku. The Highland area sits at about 1000 meters elevation, while the Olympia zone features gentler slopes designed for beginners.

The resort traces its roots to the 1972 Winter Olympics, when the Olympia zone hosted the bobsled competition. This Olympic connection remains central to the site's identity.

The facility demonstrates Japanese efficiency by transforming from a winter sports destination to a golf course according to seasonal changes throughout the year.

The resort is accessible within about 40 minutes from central Sapporo via train to Teine Station, then by shuttle bus to the grounds. Winter months are best for skiing, while summer offers pleasant weather for golfing on the course.

The north-facing slopes maintain excellent snow conditions thanks to their geographic position, while views of Sapporo's city lights and the Sea of Japan add to the experience. This combination of reliable snow and scenic vistas makes the area particularly rewarding for winter sports enthusiasts.
