プレミスト琴似スカイクロスタワー, Residential skyscraper in Kotoni district, Sapporo, Japan
The Premist Kotoni Sky Cross Tower is a 135-meter residential structure with 40 floors housing around 260 units in reinforced concrete. The building serves as a prominent residential landmark in the Kotoni area.
The tower was built on the site of a former asbestos factory as part of a district redevelopment initiative. Its completion in 2013 represented a significant turning point for the neighborhood.
The tower marks the shift of Kotoni from an industrial zone into a residential hub where locals and visitors now gather. The area has become a focal point for neighborhood life and daily activity.
The building sits just a five-minute walk from JR Kotoni Station and nine minutes from the subway station. Covered passageways connect to nearby shopping centers for convenient access.
A fire broke out on the construction site in March 2013, causing a temporary halt to work. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no injuries.
