Iwaki Marine Tower, Observation tower in Misaki Park, Iwaki, Japan
The 59.99-meter concrete tower stands on a plateau rising 46 meters above sea level at the eastern edge of Onahama Port in Fukushima Prefecture.
Construction of the Iwaki Marine Tower began in August 1985, and the structure officially opened its doors to visitors on August 1, 1986.
The observation deck provides views of the regional development, showing the connection between Iwaki's industrial zones and traditional coastal communities.
Visitors can reach the tower by taking a 20-minute taxi ride from Iwaki Station or using the bus service from Izumi Station to Onahama.
The Sky Deck combines views from 106 meters above sea level with maritime winds, displaying both sandy beaches northward and industrial areas southward.
