Aizu Kogen Takahata is a ski resort on mountain slopes in Minamiaizu with ten courses ranging from beginner to advanced terrain spread across elevations between 720 and 1.240 meters. The different runs wind through varied landscapes and snow conditions throughout the season.
The resort was developed to create winter sports opportunities in Fukushima Prefecture and connect the region to Japan's growing ski tourism. It became part of the expansion of winter recreation areas in eastern Japan.
The resort incorporates traditional Japanese hospitality principles with its service approach, including specialized areas for different skill levels marked by color-coded zones.
The resort has four ski lifts with equipment rental available on site and parking for around 800 vehicles. Operations run during the winter season, so plan your visit accordingly.
The facility includes a motion recorder system with high-speed cameras throughout the slopes, allowing skiers to capture and share their descents through smartphone integration.
