The Shingen Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses Lake Nakaumi, connecting Sakaiminato in Tottori Prefecture to Eshima in Shimane Prefecture. The structure uses a rigid-frame design spanning 250 meters at its center, allowing large ships to pass through without obstruction.
The bridge was completed in 2004, replacing an older drawbridge that severely limited traffic and caused frequent delays for shipping. This new structure significantly improved transportation connections between the two regions.
