ココリ, Mixed-use skyscraper in Kofu, Japan.
ココリ is a modern skyscraper in central Kofu that combines residential apartments, commercial spaces, and vocational schools. The building features multiple floors housing retail areas, educational facilities, and living units with direct connections to local transportation networks.
The project began in 2005 under the Kofu Koubai District Urban Redevelopment Association as part of a city development plan. Public investment supported the creation of this mixed-use complex, which significantly reshaped Kofu's urban structure.
The name ココリ came from public consultation, blending references to Kofu city with the nearby Orion Street. The building serves as a central gathering point where residents and visitors experience modern urban life in this neighborhood.
Access throughout the building is straightforward, making it easy to navigate between different floors and sections. The proximity to bus stops and train stations means you can reach the building easily using public transportation.
The building underwent a notable shift from its original plans as a shopping mall to becoming a premium jewelry trading hub. This transformation reflects how urban projects adapt to changing market demands to remain relevant.
