JR Gate Tower, Mixed-use skyscraper and station building in Meieki district, Nagoya, Japan.

JR Gate Tower is a modern high-rise with 46 floors above ground and 6 underground levels housing offices, hotels, retail, and transportation facilities. The structure connects directly to Nagoya Station and features 26 elevators for moving between its different sections.

Designed by architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox, the tower opened on March 30, 2017. It represents the third major high-rise building developed at this station location.

The tower holds Takashimaya department store and numerous restaurants serving Japanese and international food. Visitors encounter a place where traditional retail meets contemporary shopping patterns.

The interior is easy to navigate since different areas connect through underground passages. Visitors find clear signage and landmarks to help them locate shops, restaurants, and station access.

The building houses a Starbucks on the 15th floor with a semi-open area overlooking the railway station. This location provides an unusual vantage point across the station grounds for visitors grabbing a coffee break.
