大雲寺, Buddhist temple in Okegawa, Japan
Daiun-ji Temple features multiple structures including the main prayer hall, a pagoda, and a lecture hall within its expansive 1,730-tsubo grounds.
The temple, established in the late 6th century, maintains strong connections to Prince Shotoku, who contributed to the early spread of Buddhism in Japan.
The temple stands as the second station of the Adachi-Bando Kannon pilgrimage route, receiving over 916 regular worshippers from the local community.
Visitors can purchase traditional temple souvenirs on the 21st of each month and participate in regular Buddhist ceremonies throughout the year.
The temple houses a distinctive 7th-century stone carving in the shape of a turtle within its Kameido hall.
