小野路公園

Onoji Park is a large green space in Machida with a professional baseball stadium, soccer fields, and open grass areas throughout the Tama Hills region. The facility offers multiple sports venues and quiet spots for walking and recreation.

The park developed on the site of the former Asahi Life Tsurukawa Ground, which Machida City purchased in 2004. It opened to the public two years later, transforming the private ground into a community space.

The baseball field hosts regional tournaments where you can watch skilled matches throughout the year. The venue draws athletes and spectators who gather regularly, shaping the local sports community.

The parking area offers limited free parking time, which suits short visits well. Bus service from Tsurukawa Station makes the park accessible without a car.

The spectator seats in the stadium came from the former National Stadium of Japan, linking this local venue to national sporting history. This connection makes the site a quiet bridge between grassroots sports and Japan's past.
