The Mino Ceramic Art Museum displays numerous Mino ware artifacts, including Setoguro, Kizeto, Shino, and Oribe pieces from the Momoyama period.
The institution originated as the Gifu Prefecture Ceramic Museum and relocated to its current location, reopening as the Mino Ceramic Art Museum in 2012.
The museum organizes four to five exhibitions annually, featuring works from Living National Treasures alongside contemporary ceramic artists from Japan.
Located at 1-9-27 Higashimachi, the museum charges 320 yen for adults and 210 yen for university students, while younger visitors enter free.
Visitors can participate in traditional tea ceremonies using bowls crafted by Living National Treasures and contemporary potters in dedicated spaces.
