Mino Ceramic Art Museum,Tajimi, Ceramics museum in Tajimi, Japan.

The Mino Ceramic Art Museum displays pottery from different historical periods, including Setoguro, Kiseto, Shino, and Oribe styles. The works showcase regional production techniques and various surface finishes developed over centuries.

The institution began as the Gifu Prefecture Ceramic Museum before moving to its current location. It reopened in 2012 under its present name, focusing on the region's pottery heritage.

The collection reflects the local pottery heritage and shows how different firing methods and glazing techniques have been passed down through generations. You can see how these practices shaped the identity of the region's craftspeople.

The museum is located in central Tajimi and can be reached on foot. Plan to spend at least one to two hours exploring the exhibition spaces at a comfortable pace.

The museum has dedicated spaces where visitors can participate in traditional tea ceremonies using bowls made by contemporary potters. This hands-on experience connects history with living craft practices.
