This textbook library is a specialized collection with about 142,000 educational materials, including authorized school books and teaching guides. The collection also includes materials from abroad and documents different learning methods and teaching approaches.

The collection was systematically built starting from 1949 and the library itself opened in 1977 as part of a research center. It preserves the development of Japanese school education over several decades.

The collection shows how schools in different countries taught and what methods they used. Visitors can see the differences between education systems around the world.

The library is located on the second floor of a research center and is open during morning and afternoon hours on certain days. Visitors should register in advance to ensure access to the collections.

The collection holds school books and teaching materials from before 1946 that document the history of Japanese school education. These older holdings offer a window into the teaching methods of earlier generations.
