The Niigata Nippo Media Ship is a 105-meter-tall office building with 20 stories of steel, concrete, and glass construction in downtown Niigata. The structure houses editorial newsrooms, broadcast facilities, and public observation areas within its modern framework.

Construction began in 2011 as part of Niigata's urban renewal efforts and finished in 2013. The completion marked a turning point when the city invested in modern infrastructure for media operations and public access.

The building serves as a media hub where local journalists and residents interact through news production and public broadcasting facilities. It has become a central point for how information reaches people in the Niigata region.

The building sits about 10 minutes on foot from Niigata Station or via the Bandai-bashi BRT line to the Bandai City stop. Visitors can access public areas including the observation deck during daytime hours.

The observation deck on the 20th floor offers views of the city, Shinano River, and the Sea of Japan coastline. On clear days, the island of Sado becomes visible in the distance, making it a memorable vantage point.
