Yachiyo Bridge is a steel girder structure that carries road traffic across the Shinano River in Niigata. The construction includes dedicated lanes for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians distributed across its width.
Construction began in May 1961 and traffic started in December 1962. The structure earned designation as a National Important Cultural Property in 2004 for its engineering significance.

The crossing can become crowded during peak hours, so visiting earlier in the day is advisable. The separated pathways offer safe conditions for walking and cycling without mixing with vehicle traffic.
The structure incorporates prestressed concrete deck plates and maintains a maximum span length of 205 meters with widths varying between 8.5 and 9 meters.
