Gifu Seiryu-satoyama Koen, Japanese theme park and roadside station in Minokamo, Japan.
Gifu Seiryu-satoyama Koen is a theme park set within natural landscape near Minokamo, spanning forests, rice fields, tea plantations, and ravines. The grounds support fireflies and medaka fish while featuring relocated wooden buildings that recreate a rural mountain setting.
The site was transformed from Japan Showa Village into its current form in 2003, recreating a 1930s mountain settlement. This redesign preserved the architectural style and character of that historical period.
The site tells the story of rural craftsmanship through relocated wooden buildings where visitors experience rice planting, tofu making, and other traditional work. These hands-on activities reveal how people once lived and worked in mountain communities.
The park opens from 9 AM to 6 PM between March and November, and from 10 AM to 5 PM December through February with no admission charge. Wearing comfortable shoes is important since the grounds cover hilly terrain and natural landscape.
The grounds house one of central Japan's largest adventure parks with a 333-meter zip line and over 30 outdoor challenges. These physical attractions offer visitors intense activities beyond the traditional experiences elsewhere on the property.
