Founded in 1871 by eight international members, Kobe Union Church moved to its current location in Nagaminedai during 1992 after previous relocations in 1928.
The congregation maintains an international character through bilingual services in English and Japanese, connecting Protestant Christians from multiple nationalities and denominations.
Sunday worship services occur from 9:45 to 11:00 AM, with a shuttle service operating from JR Rokkomichi, Hankyu Rokko, and near Gokoku Jinjya stations.
The building houses both the English-speaking Kobe Union Church and the German-speaking Evangelische Kirchengemeinde Kobe-Osaka congregation under one roof.
