The temple includes multiple buildings connected by corridors, featuring a main gate, meditation hall, and traditional architectural elements throughout the complex point.
Founded in 1316 by High Priest Nichijun, a disciple of Nichiin who established the Hokke sect headquarters temple of Honshoji in the Hokuriku region.
The temple maintains a collection of 21 Lotus Sutra Mandala paintings, which have received recognition as Important Cultural Properties of Japan.
The temple welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 to 16:30, with parking available for 10 vehicles at no additional charge.
The temple houses ancient red pine trees within its grounds, which stand as natural monuments marking centuries of religious practice.
