Tokyo Toy Museum

The Tokyo Toy Museum displays a collection of 10,000 toys from Japan and worldwide across three floors of a former elementary school building.

Established in October 1984, the museum transformed an educational facility into an interactive space where children can combine play with learning.

The Toy Square Red section exhibits traditional Japanese toys and games, connecting visitors with national play traditions and recreational practices.

Located near Yotsuya-sanchome Station on the Marunouchi Line, the museum operates from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and charges 1,100 yen for adult admission.

Senior volunteers guide visitors through hands-on experiences with Japanese games, while daily craft workshops let participants create toys using recyclable materials.
