Yokohama Park

Yokohama Park is an urban park in Naka-ku featuring walking paths, seasonal flower displays, and green spaces located near JR Kannai Station. The grounds offer multiple areas for strolling and relaxation throughout the central district.

The park opened in September 1876 during the Meiji period as one of the first public green spaces in Yokohama. Its establishment followed the city's rapid development after opening to foreign trade.

The park serves as a gathering space where local people meet for seasonal celebrations and community events throughout the year.

The park is easily accessible by multiple transportation options near local train stations and bus stops in central Yokohama. Comfortable shoes are recommended as you walk the various paths, and visiting early in the day tends to be less crowded.

The grounds contain approximately 140,000 tulip bulbs that create notable flower displays during the spring blooming season in April. This spring show attracts many visitors who come to see the colorful transformation of the park.
