Takisan Temple, Buddhist temple in Okazaki, Japan

The temple features a two-story pagoda, traditional wooden architecture, and screen doors illustrated by artist Reizei Tamechika displaying Japanese craftsmanship.

Built in 1475 by Matsudaira Chikatada, the temple holds strong connections to the Matsudaira clan and later became a memorial site for fallen Matsudaira soldiers.

The temple hosts the Oni Matsuri festival in February, where participants wear ceremonial devil masks and carry burning torches during ritual ceremonies.

The temple welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with entrance fees of 500 yen for adults and reduced rates for students.

From the temple gates, visitors can see Okazaki Castle through a direct sightline known as the Vista Line, connecting these two historical structures.
