宝福寺

The Hofukuji Temple features traditional Japanese architectural elements with a bell tower and ornate decorations throughout its grounds.

Initially established as a Tendai Buddhist temple, it transformed into a Rinzai Zen temple during the Kamakura period with 55 sub-temples and 300 branch temples.

The temple maintains regular meditation sessions on the second Sunday of each month, offering Zen practice opportunities for visitors over 12 years old.

The temple opens from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, with a parking area accommodating 75 vehicles and a separate space for buses on the western side.

The temple's rain gutters incorporate a distinctive structure called Kusari-tō, which creates a chain-like water flow during rainfall.
