琴林公園, Forest park in Sanuki, Japan.
Kinrin Park spans 9.3 hectares along the coast, featuring extensive pine groves and a white sand beach stretching for 1000 meters.
The park originated in the Muromachi period when monks from Jourakuji Temple planted pine trees as a windbreak for the local area.
The name Kinrin derives from the sound of wind passing through pine trees, resembling the notes of traditional Japanese string instruments.
The park includes a swimming beach open from early July to late August, with facilities accommodating over 90,000 visitors each summer season.
The location serves as a filming site for Japanese cinema productions, including notable films like 'Musume Junrei Nagare no Hana'.
