Sagamihara Asamizo Park is a spacious public garden featuring walking paths, sports facilities, ponds, and flower gardens alongside an observation tower called Green Tower. The grounds also include areas for animal interactions and multiple activity zones for visitors of all ages.

Sagamihara Asamizo Park opened on 17 November 1985. In 1992 it hosted the national urban greening fair (Zenkoku Toshi Ryokuka Fair). Its site covers 21.3 hectares as of April 2014, with plans to expand to 45.3 hectares; it is laid out together with the adjacent Kanagawa prefectural Sagamihara Park, and the two together cover 47.3 hectares.

The park opened on 17 November 1985, and in 1992 it hosted the National Urban Greening Fair, a nationwide horticultural event. The name Asamizo comes from the district of Asamizo-dai in Sagamihara's Minami ward, where the park lies. The free animal corner and athletic course draw families on holidays.

Access is by bus: from the north exit of Odakyu Sagami-Ono Station take the Joshibi University of Art and Design bus and get off at that stop, or the Kamimizo bus and alight at Kenritsu Sagamihara Park-mae. Buses also run from Sagamidai-mae Station, Haratama Station on the Sagami Line and Kobuchi Station on the Yokohama Line. A large free car park serves drivers.
