Ryujin Falls

Ryujin Falls drops 12 meters down through layered rock formations, with water that shifts between blue tones based on sunlight and the season. The interplay of water, light, and stone creates a natural display that changes throughout the day.

The falls received its name from a local legend about a white dragon appearing to villagers before ascending to the heavens. This ancient tale shaped the spiritual significance the place holds in the region.

The falls belong to a series of six waterfalls in this area, each tied to dragon mythology and celebrated during an annual festival held every April.

The site is best explored on foot, with paths leading to the water that offer different conditions depending on the season. Wear proper footwear and exercise caution after rain, as surfaces can become slippery.
