Wakamatsu Park, Urban park in Nagata Ward, Kobe, Japan
Located in the Nagata district, Wakamatsu Park features green spaces, walking paths, and recreational facilities for local residents and visitors.
The park gained new importance after the 1995 Great Hanshin earthquake, becoming a symbol of recovery for the Kobe community.
The 18-meter tall Tetsujin 28-Go robot statue, created by manga artist Mitsuteru Yokoyama, stands as the centerpiece of Wakamatsu Park.
The park remains open 24 hours daily, with the main entrance accessible through Shin-Nagata Station and substantial parking spaces for vehicles.
The Tetsujin statue receives illumination during evening hours, creating a different experience for visitors who come after sunset.
