Fujiko·F·Fujio Museum, Comics museum in Ikuta Ryokuchi Park, Kawasaki, Japan
The Fujiko·F·Fujio Museum is a comics museum in the Nagao neighborhood of Kawasaki, Japan, dedicated to the manga artist's work. The galleries display original drawings, manuscripts, and interactive stations that guide visitors through the different series and characters he created.
The museum opened in September 2011 and preserves the work of a manga artist who was active from the 1950s onward. The collection grew from the personal archive of the cartoonist, who became one of Japan's most recognized creators.
The exhibition spaces present the evolution of Japanese manga through the lens of Fujiko F Fujio's characters, including the widely recognized Doraemon series.
Visitors must reserve in advance, as admission is timed and available only through an online system. A free shuttle bus runs from Noborito Station to the entrance and operates throughout the day at regular intervals.
A small cinema inside screens short films produced exclusively for the museum and featuring characters from the artist's work. Visitors can also see the manga author's original desk and drawing tools in a reconstructed study room.
