Kagoshima Prefectural Yoshino Park, Urban park in Kagoshima, Japan.
The 30-hectare park spreads across a hilltop at 234 meters elevation, offering views of Sakurajima volcano, Kinko Bay, and Mount Kirishima.
The park's development started in 1964 as part of urban planning initiatives, leading to its official inauguration on May 16, 1970.
During spring, visitors gather for hanami celebrations among eleven types of cherry trees, including Kawazakura varieties that bloom from February to April.
Access to the park requires a 25-minute bus ride from Kagoshima Chuo Station, with free admission and operating hours varying by season.
The park features 70,000 trees spanning 140 species, plus a water fountain positioned to frame the Sakurajima volcano in its background.
