Kasamisaki Lighthouse

The lighthouse stands 54 meters tall on the western edge of Ishikawa Prefecture, emitting three white flashes every 13 seconds across the sea.

Built in response to increased maritime traffic, the Kasamisaki Lighthouse began its operations on April 25, 1950, marking a new era of navigation safety.

The lighthouse remains an integral part of the local maritime heritage, with residents actively participating in its maintenance and preservation efforts.

Located 1 kilometer west of Hashidate Port, the lighthouse includes parking facilities and a walking path that takes visitors to the structure in 5 minutes.

The lighthouse produces a beam with an intensity of 8,300 candelas, reaching a distance of 13 nautical miles across the Japanese waters.
