The reservoir maintains a capacity of 42500 thousand cubic meters, supporting flood control, irrigation systems, and power generation throughout Akita Prefecture.
The dam's catchment area spans 100 square kilometers, creating a 192-hectare water body that shapes the local landscape of Fujisato.
