Yoshimoto Manzai Theater, Comedy theater in Namba-Sennichimae, Osaka, Japan
The Yoshimoto Manzai Theater is a comedy venue on the fifth floor of the YES NAMBA Building in Namba-Sennichimae. Seating is arranged with 305 seats close to the stage so that spectators and performers come into direct contact during shows.
The venue opened in December 2014 and has served since then as a permanent stage for Yoshimoto Kogyo productions. The establishment aimed to give audiences in Osaka a dedicated space for this form of entertainment.
The building takes its name from the Yoshimoto company, an entertainment organization based in Osaka. Visitors experience performances where comedians joke and interrupt each other in rapid rhythm while the audience laughs and applauds.
The venue opens at noon on weekdays and remains open until 10 PM, while operations begin in the morning on weekends. Visitors reach the floor via an elevator in the building and find signs in the entrance area.
A comedian operates a restaurant in the same building that serves takoyaki, while the coffee house Hana-Noren Tully's is also located on site. Visitors can therefore eat and drink before or after a show without leaving the building.
