Manpuku-ji features a main hall, bell tower, and gate structures that received national cultural property registration status in 2015.
Founded in 815 by Saicho, the temple initially belonged to the Tendai sect before converting to Jodo Shinshu Buddhism in 1232 under Priest Ryosei.
The temple maintains traditional Buddhist practices, with Amida Buddha as the principal object of worship in the main hall.
The temple grounds contain multiple buildings, including the main hall, mountain gate, and bell tower, which visitors can explore during regular hours.
A 500-year-old juniper tree stands within the temple grounds, recognized as the largest in the Western Mikawa region of Aichi Prefecture.
