Chigasaki Satoyama Park, Public park in Chigasaki, Japan
The park spans across northern Chigasaki highlands, featuring a large pond, extensive walking paths, and natural thickets surrounded by mountain foothills.
The Kanagawa Prefecture established Chigasaki Satoyama Park in October 2001 to preserve the traditional agricultural landscape between mountains and flatlands.
This green space maintains the satoyama concept, representing the Japanese philosophy of harmonious coexistence between nature and human agricultural activities.
Visitors can access the park via bus from Chigasaki Station North Exit to Serizawa Iriguchi stop, with operating hours from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.
The park contains a 70-meter-long slide integrated into the natural terrain, offering children an engaging way to experience the landscape topography.
