Hitachi City Ikenokawa Sakura Arena

The Hitachi City Ikenokawa Sakura Arena contains a main arena measuring 65 by 36.6 meters, accommodating three basketball courts or twelve badminton courts.

The arena opened its doors on January 21, 2017, as an integral component of the Hitachi Citizen Sports Park, expanding recreational opportunities in Ibaraki Prefecture.

The facility includes dedicated spaces for traditional Japanese martial arts, featuring two rooms specifically designed for judo and kendo practice sessions.

Visitors can access the arena through the JR Joban Line to Hitachi Station, followed by a bus ride to Undokouen-mae stop with operating hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The arena maintains an archery range exclusively for practitioners holding first dan rank in kyudo or those training under certified instructors.
