The cemetery operates under the supervision of the Higashi Honganji branch of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism, in an area historically connected to Shinran, the founder of this school.
The cemetery hosts important annual ceremonies including the Manto-e lantern festival in August and the New Year's Eve Shusho-e ceremony for ancestral remembrance.
The facility provides wheelchair rentals, a large 500-vehicle parking area, and regular shuttle bus service from JR Ushiku Station for convenient access.
The cemetery offers partnership graves for those without successors, ensuring permanent memorial services, and features distinctive dragon-headed tombstones among its burial options.
