こもれび森のイバライド, Theme park and zoo in Inashiki, Japan
Komorebi Forest Ibaraide is a leisure site combining animal enclosures and rides set among wooded hills in Inashiki, Japan. The grounds spread across several zones with play areas, open fields, and covered pavilions connected by wide paths.
The site opened a Sylvanian-themed zone in 2020, expanding offerings for younger visitors in the region east of Tokyo. Since then, the animal enclosures and workshops have gradually added new hands-on learning opportunities.
The name joins the Japanese word for sunlight filtering through leaves with the region of Ibaraki, reflected in the way paths wind beneath tree canopies. Families gather on the lawns for picnics while children climb wooden playsets scattered between the animal areas.
A visit typically lasts three to four hours, with many visitors arriving early in the morning to use the workshops before afternoon crowds build. Paths are mostly level and suitable for strollers, though some areas sit on gently sloping ground.
The zip slide glides over a pond and offers views of the surrounding fields as visitors cover a distance of more than a hundred meters. In the contact areas, guests can feed alpacas or hold owls on gloved hands, with staff guiding the animals.
