Ryugasakishi Station, Railway interchange station in Ryugasaki, Japan.
Ryugasakishi Station is an interchange facility in Ryugasaki with two side platforms and two island platforms linked by an elevated footbridge. The structure serves several railway lines and provides covered waiting areas and ticket counters for travelers.
Operations began in 1900 under the name Sanuki Station, when the area received its first railway connections. The name changed to Ryugasakishi Station in March 2020 to better reflect its connection with the surrounding city.
The station serves as a connection point between East Japan Railway Company and Kanto Railway lines, reflecting Japanese integrated transport systems.
Platforms are accessible by stairs and a bridge that connects the different levels. Travelers can ask about connections at the counters or use machines for tickets.
The Kanto Railway section still uses the old name Sanuki for its part of the facility, even though the entire complex was officially renamed. Signs on platforms show both designations, which sometimes confuses first-time visitors.
