真宗大谷派高田別院

The temple features a main hall with traditional wooden architecture, complemented by a bell tower and large entrance gate within stone walls perimeter.

Founded in 1730 by Shinjo, the 17th head priest of Higashi Honganji, the temple received official permission despite government restrictions on new religious buildings.

The temple stands as a religious center where followers gather for ceremonies, maintaining the teachings of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism in the Niigata region.

Located 800 meters from Takada Station, the temple welcomes visitors Monday through Friday between 8:45 AM and 5:15 PM.

The temple complex includes several registered tangible cultural properties, with the main hall, bell tower, and gates registered in August 2015.
