Kobayashi Kokei Memorial Museum of Art

The museum building spans 809 square meters on a single floor, featuring exhibition spaces with dark blue interior walls that enhance the display of white-background paintings.

The museum, established in 2002, incorporates the relocated residence and art room of painter Kobayashi Kokei, who moved from Tokyo to preserve his artistic legacy.

The collection includes 1,800 pieces of artwork, personal items, and drawings by Kobayashi Kokei, along with exhibitions of regional artists from the Meiji era.

The museum opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with admission fees of 510 yen for adults and 260 yen for students, excluding Mondays and holidays.

The Ninomaru Hall within the museum hosts educational workshops, gallery discussions, and concerts while utilizing LED lighting systems that replicate natural daylight conditions.
