The Bet Yaakov Synagogue stands within a modern community center, featuring dark wooden pews adorned with Stars of David and stained glass windows displaying traditional symbols.
The synagogue, established in 2000, represents the first Jewish house of worship in Skopje following the decimation of the community during World War II in 1943.
Local Jewish families maintain Sephardic traditions through religious ceremonies, with visiting cantors and rabbis from neighboring countries leading services during major holidays.
The synagogue accommodates approximately sixty Jewish families from Skopje and functions as the primary gathering space for religious observances throughout the year.
An embroidered red velvet curtain from the previous synagogue decorates the Ark, connecting the present structure to the historical Jewish presence in Macedonia.
