Viñoly Tower, Office building in Zuidas, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Viñoly Tower is an office building 91 meters tall with a steel frame and concrete core located in the Zuidas business district. It contains approximately 32,000 square meters of workspace and features four vertical curtain-wall profiles that define its facade design.
The tower was built between 2002 and 2005 as part of the Mahler4 development project. It resulted from a partnership among Fortis Vastgoed, G&S vastgoed, and ING Real Estate.
The tower houses offices for multinational companies and represents Amsterdam's role as an international business hub. Its presence shapes the southern business district as a symbol of economic activity and global connectivity.
The renovated lobby features an extended reception desk made from Belgium blue stone and welcomes visitors during business hours. Access to the building is restricted to authorized guests and office workers, so plan visits accordingly.
The building features external emergency stairs that lead to a rooftop terrace, creating a distinctive visual pattern on the facade. These stair elements add an unexpected architectural accent that makes the structure stand out among typical office towers.
