Ito-toren, Office building in Zuidas, Netherlands
The Ito-toren rises 100 meters high with 25 floors, featuring angular exterior walls decorated with horizontal rows of windows and aluminum panels.
Construction of the building started in September 2002, reached its full height in June 2004, and opened for occupancy in June 2005.
Japanese architect Toyo Ito incorporated four interior atria into the building design, merging Eastern architectural concepts with Dutch urban development.
The structure contains 34,551 square meters of office space, including a ground-level cafeteria and a fifteenth-floor terrace for tenant use.
The building exterior displays distinctive geometric perforations that create patterns of light and shadow throughout its aluminum and glass facade.
