Bahay na Tisa

The structure employs timber framing throughout and is topped with clay tiles, reflecting traditional building methods used in the region.

The house was built in 1846 by Don Cecilio Tech and has served as a family residence with deep roots in local history. During the period of Martial Law, the building gained importance as a gathering place for community meetings and became associated with significant local events.

The name 'Bahay na Tisa' refers to the house's three-part structure, a feature rooted in traditional Filipino domestic design that organized living spaces by function. Visitors can observe how this layout shaped daily life and social interactions within the home.

The building is located on P. Gomez Street and remains under the care of the Tech family, who support its ongoing preservation. Government authorities oversee the site to ensure proper maintenance and protection of the historic structure.
