Kala Chitta National Park, National park in Attock District, Pakistan.
The Kala Chitta National Park extends across 16,948 hectares of rocky hills, grasslands, and forests within the Kala Chitta mountain range.
The park received its official national park designation in 2009, marking a significant step in protecting the local ecosystem and wildlife populations.
The mountain range name reflects the regional geology, where Kala means black and Chitta means white in reference to the stone colors.
The park features multiple marked trails for hiking and trekking, along with facilities for camping, bird watching, and wildlife photography.
Scientists have discovered important Eocene mammal fossils in the Kuldana Formation within the park, including primitive cetacean specimens.
