Built in 1762, the palace underwent major reconstruction in 1823 under architect Antonio Corazzi, transforming from its original Baroque style into a neoclassical building.
The palace held concerts by Fryderyk Chopin and served as the Commission of Internal Affairs during the Congress Poland period in the early 19th century.
The Mostowski Palace functions as the headquarters of the Capital Police Command, maintaining its administrative role in Warsaw's municipal operations.
During World War II in 1944, German forces destroyed the entire palace except for its facade, leading to a complete reconstruction effort in 1949.
